The Tiger 1200 models add radar-assisted safety systems and electronic suspension as standard, along with heated seats.

Model Line-up and Pricing (Ride Away)
Tiger 900 Alpine Edition – $25,890

Tiger 900 Desert Edition – $26,990

Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition – $30,790

Tiger 1200 Desert Edition – $32,490

All four variants are available now from Triumph dealerships across Australia.

Tiger 900 Special Editions
Both Tiger 900 versions are powered by Triumph’s 888cc triple-cylinder engine, producing 107 hp at 9,500 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 6,850 rpm. This is a particularly evocative incarnation of Triumph’s triple, thanks to the T-plane 1-3-2 crankshaft phasing it also shares with its 1160 cc big brother.

For the first time, a standard Akrapovič silencer is fitted to Triumph’s mid-capacity adventure motorcycles.

The Alpine Edition features engine protection bars, while the Desert Edition includes fuel tank protection bars for enhanced off-road durability.

Suspension differs between models:

-
Tiger 900 Alpine Edition – Adjustable Marzocchi 45 mm forks – 180 mm of travel.
-
Tiger 900 Desert Edition – Adjustable Showa 45 mm forks – 240 mm travel.

Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema calipers on 320 mm twin discs, with cornering ABS standard.

The Alpine rides on cast wheels and Metzeler Tourance Next tyres, while the Desert uses spoked tubeless wheels with Bridgestone Battlax Adventure tyres.

The Alpine model is finished in Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black with Aegean Blue accents, while the Desert features Urban Grey and Sapphire Black with Baja Orange details. Both have unique graphics reflecting the “Alpine” and “Desert” themes.

Tiger 1200 Special Editions
The Tiger 1200 Special Editions are powered by Triumph’s 1,160 cc T-plane triple producing 148 hp at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm at 7,000 rpm, with shaft drive and a six-speed gearbox.

The Alpine Edition is based on the GT Pro, and the Desert Edition on the Rally Pro, with both models featuring:

- Heated rider and pillion seats (first time offered standard)
- Triumph Blind Spot and Lane Change Assist radar systems (first time offered standard)
- Semi-active Showa suspension with 200 mm (Alpine) or 220 mm (Desert) travel
- Active Preload Reduction lowering system
- Tri-Link aluminium swingarm
- Brembo Stylema brakes

Wheel and tyre setups differ by purpose:

-
Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition: 19/18-inch cast wheels with Bridgestone A41 tyres.
-
Tiger 1200 Desert Edition: 21/18-inch spoked wheels with Metzeler Karoo Street tyres.

The 1200 model features a larger 282 mm rear disc compared to the 252 mm rotor on the 900 model. The 900 models weigh approximately 225 kg when wet, while the 1200 models are around 25 kg heavier.

Colour options include Satin Crystal White with Caspian Blue or Ash Grey with Intense Orange for the Alpine, and Satin Granite with Performance Yellow or Crystal White with Red highlights for the Desert.

Service and Ownership
The Tiger 900 models have 10,000 km service intervals, while the shaft-driven Tiger 1200 extends this to 16,000 km. All versions are covered by a two-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, with more than 50 accessories available, including Trekker and Expedition panniers, comfort options, and additional protection components.
