What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing issue, under certain driving conditions the upper triple clamp that secures the handlebar may fracture. This could lead to a loss of vehicle control whilst riding.

What are the hazards?

A loss of vehicle control whilst riding could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to rider, passenger and/or other road users.

What should consumers do?

Once parts become available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Harley-Davidson asking them to schedule an appointment to have a new upper triple clamp installed on their motorcycle, free of charge.

What are the defects?

Due to a manufacturing defect, the mounting bolts connecting the camshaft retainer plate may not be sufficiently tightened. As a result, the camshaft retainer plate could become loose causing the engine to stall and fail to restart.

What are the hazards?

A loss of motive power whilst riding could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to the rider and/or passenger, or other road users.

What should consumers do?

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Yamaha requesting them to schedule an appointment with their local dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
