Triumph Bonneville T100, T120, T120 Black
2026 brings a minor tech update to Triumph’s Bonneville widely acclaimed T100 and T120 models, including the T120 Black, alongside new colourways and detailing. The updated models are expected to start arriving in Australian Triumph dealerships from January.

That new tech is the incorporation of lean-sensitivity or cornering functionality into the ABS and traction control systems, alongside the fitment of a new LED headlight and DRL.

Cruise control is standard on the T120 but an accessory for the T100. All models now offer a USB-C port in the cockpit.

New to the T100 are also the two riding modes, Road and Rain, which tailor throttle response and traction control to suit the conditions.

The T100, T120, and T120 Black all share the same tubular steel twin-cradle frame, paired with KYB suspension comprising cartridge forks and preload-adjustable twin shocks that we find are generally well sorted as standard from Triumph.

On the T120 and T120 Black, braking is handled by twin Brembos. On the T100, a two-piston Nissin floating caliper is used. Both run a Nissin two-piston floating calliper at the rear.

Michelin Road Classic tyres are fitted to the aluminium-rimmed spoked wheels, and all three models share a low 790mm seat height, a low centre of gravity, and an upright seating position.

The T120s are running Triumph’s 1200cc ’High Torque’ twin engine delivering 105Nm of torque at just 3500rpm and almost 80 hp at 6550rpm. This is a great characterful motor with a nice heavy crankbeat.

In contrast, powering the smaller T100 is the 900 cc Bonneville twin, with peak power of 65hp at 7000 rpm, and peak torque of 80Nm at 3750rpm.

The 270-degree crank spacing gives both 1200cc and 900cc engines their distinctive character and addictive sound. Service intervals are 16,000 km.

Premium colour options on the Bonneville T100 are Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black, or Jet Black and Diablo Red, both with hand-painted gold coachline detailing, priced from $19,890. The standard option is Stone Grey for $18,990 ride-away.

On the T120, you get either Aegean Blue and New England White or Aluminium Silver and Cranberry Red in the premium options, both with hand-painted black coachline detailing and from $23,350, or the standard Stone Grey option for $22,450 ride-away.

The T120 Black is available in two monochrome colour schemes: Jet Black for $22,450 ride-away or the premium Matt Silver Ice and Matt Sapphire Black for $23,350.

Paul Stroud – Triumph Motorcycles CCO
“The Bonneville T120 is the original. It’s the bike that defined a generation and continues to inspire riders today. What makes it so special is its ability to evolve while staying true to its soul. For 2026, we’ve updated the styling, introduced new rider-focused technology, and enhanced the overall ride. The T120 Black, with its stealthy attitude and premium finishes, is a natural choice for newer riders who want custom style with real substance. The T100 shares that same iconic DNA, but with an even broader appeal. It’s often the first big bike for many, with a third of customers stepping up to their first large-capacity motorcycle. It’s aspirational, yet accessible. With advanced features like lean-sensitive Optimised Cornering ABS, Traction Control, and selectable Road and Rain modes, the T100 is exactly what today’s rider is looking for. It delivers smooth, responsive control and a ride that feels effortless, bringing modern capability to a bike that still captures the unmistakable spirit of a true classic.”
